Godfather of chessboxing Enki Bilal
visits the chessboxing camp in Berlin

In 1992, Enki Bilal - renowned creator of comics - had published a piece with the title 'Equator cold' in which for the first time chessboxing in a very elementary variation was displayed, providing the inspiration for Iepe Rubingh to create a new sport. Recently the two men met to explore their first encounter, that had been eagerly anticipated.

Mr. Bilal makes his first move...

...and then it's time for some boxing.

Enki Bilal visited the chessboxing headquarter and the camp where he and Iepe had a relaxed game of chess. Later he followed a training unit and a sparring match in the CBCB.
